Keith Knudsen, M.Sc., P.Eng.

My career passion has been renewable energy and sustainability. I have worked in the renewable energy industry since 2007 building and supporting renewable energy projects throughout Canada. I have expertise in renewable energy project planning; technical capacity in wind, solar, and other renewable energy technologies; and experience in greenhouse gas quantification. I have supported market entry and feasibility assessments for several organizations and technologies. I have navigated regulatory and technical hurdles for projects at varying levels of complexity and stages of maturity.

Outside of Brightspot, I can be found wandering the meandering trails in Canada’s epic Rocky Mountains. My partner and I are passionate about spending as much time exploring the Rockies as possible. Our favourite multiday trails include Mount Robson, Rockwall and Skoki Loop (fun fact, our dog’s name is Skoki). We recently took up trail running and can often be found in the foothills of the Rockies after work. When not in the mountains, I can be found rehearsing with a local a cappella group I sing with or cuddled up with a good book in front of the fire.
